stars born

when i was in third grade, i learned that the sun was a star.. twas sort of believe-it-or-not for me, haha.. i don't know, maybe i just thought they were really different objects. or maybe it's the philippine flag that made me think the sun was different from the rest of the stars.. three stars and the sun? should have been the sun and other three stars. hehe.. anyway..
i remember going to the library with ida. i went looking for it in the encyclopedia. and learned that it is a yellow dwarf. just a dwarf... didn't think before that the sun is really really really small compared to the other stars. and i remember being too concerned that stars die.. and i got worried about the earth.. ida said, we'll not be around by that time... haha.

anyway... i often look at the stars when i was a kid. i looked and searched for different constellations. and i can stay for hours looking up at them from the top floor of our building. i barely look at it anymore.. unless there's a great big moon present. and now i got to read that there are new baby stars born. amazing right?

they're 6000 lightyears away from the constellation Cassiopeia.. (the "w" star formation). i'll try to look for them tonight. if i can. haha.. amazing right..
